Black Ops 2 How to Get Ray Gun Every Time
How to Get The Ray Gun in COD: Black Ops Cold War Zombies
The zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War retains many series favorites. This guide shows players how to acquire the Ray Gun.
One of the longest recurring game modes throughout the Call of Duty franchise is the Zombies mode, and with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War this mode has made a big comeback. Players are able to take control of a few different characters and play alone or with a few friends as they defeat round after round of zombies. There have been many new features added to this version of the zombies mode, but they're actually are a few old staples kicking around.
The Ray Gun weapon is one such thing that has made an appearance in almost every single iteration of the game mode since the beginning. This extremely deadly weapon can easily decimate most foes with a single shot even in the latter rounds of combat, and acquiring power-ups makes it even more deadly against foes. This main issue though is that this weapon is very rare, so players will have some difficulty acquiring it. This guide shows players how to acquire the Ray Gun in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
COD: Black Ops Cold War - How to Get the Ray Gun
For those who want to use the Ray Gun in Black Ops Cold War, they will have three different methods of acquiring it. Players will have differing levels of success from these methods most likely, but players who really want one should try all three methods until they wind up with the Ray Gun. The way to obtain it that most players are probably used to, the Mystery Box, makes a reappearance this go-round. Most likely though it is going to take the player dozens of spins to receive the weapon this way, and it will severely cut down on the player's points so it's best to wait until there is nothing else to purchase.
The second way to obtain the Ray Gun is to travel through the Dark Aether. While here players will see purple crystals that spawn around them, which can be interacted with to drop different items. There is a very rare chance that these crystals will drop the Ray Gun for the player, but if not they are still a great way to receive things like ammo or perks.
The third and final method of obtaining the Ray Gun isn't a guarantee either, but it is definitely worth a try if nothing else has worked. This can be done by completing the coffin easter egg. All the player has to do is shoot five spherical objects that appear around the particle accelerator room. Even if this fails players will still be able to snag a free perk by completing this.
